These assemblages, truly cabinets of curiosities, are part of a series of homage sculptures. Using watercolor and design pieces, each cabinet focuses on a celebrated building and the architect behind it.

'Ode to Frank' takes a simple tin canister and creates an intimate sculpture in the round. It is a homage to Frank Lloyd Wright's celebrated Guggenheim museum. 'Ode to Frank' uses Wright inspired paper, a working clock motor with hands, along with photos and cutouts, and a tiny Frank Lloyd Wright on a unicycle, wrapped in a cape, cycling in a circle in a constant balancing act between his art, public acceptance and personal relationships.

Swing Time
''Swing Time' transforms a cigar box into a jewel box with Japanese paper, watercolor, photographs, musical scores and a building that pirouettes. It is a homage to architect Frank Gehry's Nationale-Nederlanden Building. Better known as the 'Fred and Ginger' building, it fronts on the Vltava River just south of the historic core in Praque.
Dancing among Prague's array of baroque and gothic architecture, Gehry's deconstructionist building flaunts its exoticism with undulating windows and a twisted glass structure. The jewel box is encased in the score from the 1936 Astaire/Rogers film of the same name. Opening the box reveals the boulevard approach to the building, which pirouettes behind a Prague Opera dance ensemble at the touch of the wire top hat.
